Managing Partner | Counselor-at-Law | Financial Management Specialist

Cllr. K. Jlayteh Sayor Sr. is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Nexus Legal & Financial Partners, LLP, where he provides overall leadership for the firm’s legal practice, operations, client relations, and strategic growth.

He is a Counselor-at-Law of the Liberian Supreme Court, Executive Committee Member of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA), President of the Sinoe County Bar Association, Executive Committee Member and Chairman on Legal and Player’s Status of the Liberia Football Association (LFA).

He brings over 20 years of professional experience in accounting, law, and business advisory services—integrating financial literacy with legal precision to guide business decisions, ensure compliance, and promote sustainable enterprise development.

Before founding Nexus, he served as Senior Associate at JG Korkoya Law Office, LLP, and worked extensively as a Financial Management Specialist, Financial Comptroller and Auditor on numerous Projects.

Senior Partner — Client Relations & Legal Advisory

Dean Ebenezer Kulah is a Senior Partner of Nexus Legal & Financial Partners, LLP and leads the firm’s Finance, Procurement, and Compliance Practice.

He is an accomplished economist, lawyer, procurement specialist, lecturer, and financial management consultant with more than seventeen years of experience in Law, contract management, public procurement, supply chain management, logistics, and donor-funded projects.

He is known for his client-focused approach, combining legal expertise with strong business acumen to support corporate and institutional clients.

He has over 18 years of professional experience in law, procurement, and financial administration, with engagements under the World Bank, MCC, Global Fund, and USAID. His expertise includes supply-chain management, contract administration, and governance advisory. Before joining Nexus, he served as Lead Counsel at Dehtho & Partners LLC, handling major commercial, labor, and real estate cases, and has also worked extensively in donor project management and compliance.

His practice areas include Corporate Law, Procurement, Labor Law, Real Estate, Compliance, and Litigation.

Partner— Election Law, Criminal Litigation & Procurement Practice

Atty. Joseph A. Yarsiah is a distinguished Partner and accomplished Legal Strategist at Nexus Legal & Financial Partners. With extensive experience in criminal law, litigation, procurement, and regulatory compliance, he provides practical and innovative solutions to clients.

He previously served as Director of Political Affairs and later Director of Procurement at the National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia, where he contributed to developing key electoral and campaign-finance regulations that strengthened democratic governance.

Earlier in his career, he worked with JG Korkoya Law Office, LLP, handling complex litigation and commercial cases.

His dual background in law and accounting enables him to deliver analytical, results-driven counsel in public and private engagements. Atty. Yarsiah holds an LL.B. from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law and a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Liberia.

He combines a strong background in law, business administration, election management, and public procurement. Before joining the firm, he served for more than ten years with the National Elections Commission of Liberia, first as Director of Political Affairs and later as Director of Procurement.

As Director of Political Affairs, Atty. Yarsiah assisted in drafting several important electoral regulations, including campaign finance regulations, candidate nomination regulations, and guidelines for political parties and independent candidates.

His practice focuses on election law, Criminal law, public procurement, civil litigation, administrative law, and regulatory compliance. He is regarded as a litigator with a strong passion for the law and public service.

Atty. Koihene is Senior Associates and lead counsel on Environment and Public Financial Management Laws

Atty. Richard Mawolo Koihene is an accomplished legal and financial management professional with extensive experience in environmental law, public financial management, institutional governance, and donor-funded development programs in Liberia. He currently serves the head of Legal at the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia where he provides legal advisory services, supports environmental compliance and regulatory.

Before entering legal practice, he built a distinguished career in financial management and development finance, serving with projects funded by the World Bank,

African Development Bank Group International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), UNFPA and UNOPS His expertise spans legal advisory, regulatory compliance, project financial management, procurement oversight, contract administration, institutional budgeting, audit coordination, and donor reporting.

With his multidisciplinary background in law, finance, governance, and international development, Atty. Koihene brings strong analytical, regulatory, and institutional advisory expertise to complex legal and financial matters, making him a valuable contributor to strategic legal and corporate advisory

Senior Associates — Environmental & Sustainability Law

Atty. Abraham W. Dioh is a Senior Associates of Nexus Legal & Financial Partners, LLP and heads the firm’s Environmental and Sustainability Practice.

He is a seasoned legal practitioner, environmental consultant, and project management specialist with extensive experience in environmental governance, sustainability law, and development project management.

He is an International Standard Organization (ISO) Certified Lead Auditor in Integrated Management System in Quality Health Safety Management System.

Atty. Dioh advises clients on environmental compliance, environmental and social risk management, regulatory frameworks, natural resources, climate governance, and occupational health and safety systems.

His work spans environmental impact assessments, compliance audits, sustainability strategies, and legal frameworks for infrastructure and development projects.

He is widely recognized for his work on projects supported by the World Bank, UNDP, and major private-sector corporations operating in Liberia and across West Africa. With a multidisciplinary background in law, environmental science, and project implementation, he brings both legal and technical expertise to complex development and natural resource projects. His concentrations are in Environmental Law, Sustainability Law and Worker Health Safety.

Atty. Nehemiah S. Johnson is a Senior Associates of Nexus Legal & Financial Partners, LLP and contributes his expertise in administration, institutional governance, and organizational management.

He is a senior administrative professional and legal practitioner with more than two decades of experience in academic administration, public-sector management, and institutional operations.

Atty. Johnson has built a distinguished career at the University of Liberia, where he has served in several leadership roles, including Administrative Assistant, Acting Dean, Instructor, and Director of Transport and Fleet Management.

His experience in policy implementation, governance systems, and organizational management enables him to advise both public and private institutions on operational effectiveness, institutional development, and governance reform.
